The Photos Eye

A discovery - a love for photography! From my very first click I was hooked. My starter was a film SLR - Minolta. I loved using film and was hesitant to make the switch to digital - it took some time. Film I felt was an artistic expression - one chance to capture your image. Black and white film was my favorite - simple shades and tones - from white to black with all grays in-between. Black and white has a certain feel - emotion. As time went on I added my zoom lens - finding more love! 300 - where you can touch objects from afar. All in film at this point. Then I decided to take the plunge to digital and my convincing was the Sony SLR would accept my Minolta zoom lens. I found I had more than one chance to capture an image - with a faster shutter speed and more bells and whistles. I knew I could capture images as I had done so with film - but to the next level. The next step was a macro lens - and once you go macro you will never go back! I adore this lens and use it as my primary lens - not only is it fantastic for that extra up close and tight image it is fantastic for other varied shots as well. I have recently upgraded to the Nikon D7000 - and what a camera! With the D7000 I look forward to taking my images to the next level! I still avoid photo-shopping on all my images as I feel the importance in showing an image just as is - it pushes me harder for that perfect shot - I guess that is the artist in me.

So here I am blogging for all the world to see!
